Nyarlathotep- My Funny Friend
Oh no, it's Nyarlathotep! Yes, Fantasy Flight Games' long-awaited first expansion to ARKHAM HORROR will be in stock this Thursday! CURSE OF THE DARK PHAROAH ($14) should be a real thrill for those of (like the old AGF crew) who played Richard Launius' masterpiece to the point where taking down the Great Old Ones became a shockingly efficient routine. Richard's shown me some of the work he's done on the _next_ expansion, and all I have to say is that this is just a teaser for DUNWICH HORROR!
In completely unrelated news...those of you who have long dreamed of a game that will have you in bed with that pudgy bearded man in your game group one turn and hooked on heroin the next will hail the arrival of the English version of Friedemann Friese's FUNNY FRIENDS ($23)- I anticipate its arrival within the next week, so get your order in if you want in. It's a fun activity, but don't come to it expecting the strategic gameplay of POWER GRID. I'll miss Frank Branham's attempts to interpret some of the cards from the German and I'll wager the, um, "semen stealing" card is on the cutting room floor.

this is elizabeth (uhhh lizzy?) from class. & well, i dont know much about games, but now i feel very informed from reading yr blog!
all the reviews should surely help me if i ever want to buy a game for a friend or for myself if i somehow develop better hand eye coordination & concentration.

I don't have much "on hand" right now- I'm focusing on school primarily but I do have most of what's "new" and "hot"- Warrior Knights, Winner's Circle, M44 Expansions, Scepter of Zandavor...a couple of oddments like Return of the Heroes, Princes of Florence, Britannia...a lot of stuff I usually keep on hand I'm sold out on temporarily, just be sure to check with me if you want something in particular.

I'd like one of them there copies of that FFFF game [sans Frank's German translations]. If mine is missing the Semen card, I want a discount. Why do we Americans need to water everything down ? I mean, it's SEMEN for chrissakes !! It's an UNBORN CHILD. Don't KILL IT !!
p.s. I'm also interested in playing that Cobras in the Cockpit game with you...you ARE gonna buy a copy, right ?!

Actually, the semen stealing card made it into the game, but I can't remember the name of the card at the moment...the funniest part is that I knew *exactly* which card you were talking about by that comment!
